Where they started.
Summit Comfort had grown from two vans to fourteen service trucks over six years, but their branding never kept pace. Each vehicle carried a different generation of magnetic door signs, mismatched phone numbers, and sun-bleached lettering that peeled at the edges after Riverside summers. Homeowners frequently mistook parked Summit trucks for unmarked contractors, and the ownership team had no way to measure whether their rolling assets generated any calls at all. With a competitor saturating local radio, Summit needed its parked and on-route trucks to finally start working as advertising rather than sitting invisible in driveways.
What we built.
We began with a fleet audit, cataloging every vehicle year, make, and panel dimension so a single design system could flex across cargo vans, service pickups, and a box truck. Our designers built a bold two-color identity with an oversized, glance-readable phone number, a licensing badge, and a benefit-driven tagline sized for freeway visibility. All graphics were printed on certified 3M cast vinyl with a matched overlaminate for lasting outdoor durability, then installed in staged batches so Summit never lost more than two trucks from rotation on any given day. We finished with a call-tracking number unique to the fleet so results could be measured from day one.
The results
- Inbound calls attributed to the fleet tracking number more than doubled within the first four months
- All 14 vehicles unified under one cohesive design system with consistent contact information
- Staged installation kept the fleet in service with zero lost revenue days during rollout
- Dispatchers reported a measurable rise in callers referencing 'the truck I saw in my neighborhood'
“The trucks paid for the wraps in under a season. People now recognize us before we even ring the doorbell, and our call volume proves it.”
