The Inland Empire averages 287 sunny days a year. Palm Desert is closer to 350. That relentless sun is what separates films that hold up for years from films that look terrible within a couple of seasons.
Calendared vs cast
Calendared vinyl is cheaper because it's manufactured by pressing, which leaves built-in tension. Sun and heat break that tension down, the film shrinks, edges lift. Cast vinyl is poured and cured, so there is no tension to release. Applicable material and workmanship coverage varies by product, surface, placement, installation conditions, location, and exposure, but cast film is built to outlast calendared film by a wide margin.
If a shop quotes you a rock-bottom full-wrap price, they're using calendared film. It'll look fine at first and embarrassing within a year or so.
